Miraco Carrier is the product of a 1992 joint venture between Miraco and Carrier Corporation and at the time of exit was the largest heating, ventilation and air conditioning company in Africa. By 2010, B Partners management had helped grow Miraco Carrier to operate two state-of-the-art factories with a combined annual production capacity of 400,000 boxes, a workforce of more than 1,400 employees and deliver sales of EGP 1.3 billion. In 2010, B Partners managed the exit of the founder and major shareholder of Miraco Carrier with his share being acquired by Midea, a leading Chinese manufacturer of AC’s and HVAC systems.
