Miraco Carrier

Miraco Carrier is the product of a 1992 joint venture between Miraco and Carrier Corporation and at the time of exit was the largest heating, ventilation and air conditioning company in Africa. By 2010, BPE management had helped grow Miraco Carrier to operate two state-of-the-art factories with a combined annual production capacity of 400,000 boxes, a workforce of more than 1,400 employees and deliver sales of EGP 1.3 billion. In 2010, BPE managed the exit of the founder and major shareholder of Miraco Carrier with his share being acquired by Midea, a leading Chinese manufacturer of AC’s and HVAC systems.
